Roof pour set for April 7

Set up for the roof pour will start at 2am with the first concrete truck arriving at 3am and work will continue until Friday afternoon. We are working closely with residents to ensure they are well informed and impacts are minimised.

A backup date is being confirmed should we be forced to reschedule again due to COVID or adverse weather. 

All going well, the second roof pour will take place in late June.

Meanwhile, the team has continued to make solid progress on the reservoir, including completing the walls after landing all 60 of the wall panels  and stitching them together. Crews have also poured the final roof section for the pipe tunnel.

Work has also started on stormwater in Rolleston Street and the connection to the pipework from Bell Road reservoir.

Coming up over the next weeks and months, alongside the first roof pour, crews will start backfilling around the pipe tunnel and the reservoir - using the stockpile of excavated material on the lower field.

We'll also start installing the mechanical and electrical components into the pipe tunnel and will be looking to commission the reservoir in the second half of the year.
