Clay to a good cause

Building a bike track can take a lot of 'fill' so when Greater Brooklyn Residents Association approached us with the idea of using some of the excavated material from the Omāroro site - we were thrilled to help out.

We love getting involved in and supporting the community - and this project was just a no-brainer. The HEB crews worked with the bike track construction team, delivering some 20 truckloads of clay for the track. Work is now underway forming the track, which is expected to open in June.

As well as saving the track team the hassle of finding and transporting clay from elsewhere, it's using material that we would eventually have had to transport off site.

Ultimately, Omāroro reservoir clay is now literally supporting a great project that will continue to benefit the community.
