BOIL WATER OUTAGE - THOMPSON STREET, MOUNT COOK

The Boil Water Notice remains in place for of all properties on Thompson Street and 77 Nairn Street, Mt Cook, until further notice.

Follow the repair of the burst pipe on Thompson Street, there is a low risk that the water has been contaminated with bacteria. The bacteria can be killed by boiling which is why a boil water notice has been issued as a precaution.

Residents in these impacted areas must boil their water before it is used for drinking, food preparation or dental hygiene. Please make sure you flush your pipes by running a cold tap for 5 minutes.

Daily testing is being carried out for the next few days. We will advise when testing results confirm it is safe to lift the boil water notice.
