Rocky Point

Rocky Point Valve Chamber Upgrade

From July until October 2025, construction work will be taking place adjacent to SH2 between the BP truck stop and the Horokiwi turnoff near Petone, to replace valves in the water main pipe which will make it more resilient to potential earthquake damage.

Wellington Water, on behalf of Wellington City Council, are realigning a wastewater pipe that was wrongly connected to the stormwater system when it was installed in 1897.

Howard Road water pipe renewal (Point Howard, Lower Hutt)

The Howard Road water pipe renewals work is now complete, with the final stage of work finished in June 2025. The work involved installing new drinking water pipes, replacing old pipes. The new pipes will provide a more reliable and resilient supply of drinking water for Point Howard residents, reducing the occurrence of burst pipes and leaks
Wakefield Street Wastewater Rising Main – Stage 2
