When will work take place?
Construction is expected to begin in late May 2026 and be completed by July 2026 (provisional timeframe, subject to change). Work will take place Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

What to expect during construction
Please see the reverse page for an image of impacted area in front of 135 and 137 Stokes Valley Road, opposite the entrance to Tui Glen School. Here’s the key things to note:

  • You may notice construction noise, and increased vehicle movements.
  • We will have traffic management in place, with speed restrictions and partial lane closure.
  • Temporary fencing will be in place around the work site, and a diversion in place for
    pedestrians.
  • On street parking will be unavailable on and close to the work site.
  • The bus stop opposite Tui Glen School (9364) will be temporarily moved slightly down the road. We will have clear signage telling you exactly where the new location is.
  • As part of the project, a power pole will be supported. This area will be clearly fenced and secured, following standard safety protocols.

Our team will work to minimise disruption wherever possible, maintain safe access to properties, and carefully manage work to reduce impacts on school pick-ups and drop-offs.

Who is carrying out the work?
Construction will be delivered by Construction Contracts Ltd (CCL) on behalf of Wellington Water.
