Wellington Water crews are working on a pipe repair which is currently impacting 31-70 Hay Street, all of Boyd Grove, all of Purdy Street, all of Helvetia Grove. This is also impacting the Rata Street Reservoir which is not refilling as quickly as expected.
There may be some discolouration in the water until the reservoir fills, but there are no public health risks. Please do not run your taps to flush your pipes as we work through the repair.
Water tankers are at 214 Rata Street and the corner of Hay Street and Purdy Street, so residents can fill up bottles and containers for household use.
We’re working at pace to restore water services to the area. Further updates will be provided as the repair progresses.
