What's happening?

As part of the ongoing Vogeltown wastewater improvement project, Wellington Water will soon be replacing pipe access chambers in Mills Road and Fortunatus Street.

This work will take about two weeks, from 30 August to 12 September 2020 and will be conducted near the intersection of Fortunatus Street and Mills Road.

Hours of work will generally be 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday; however, this will begin with some site preparation through the evening of Sunday 30 August, from 4:00 pm – 5:00 am.

Mills Road will be closed to traffic through the evenings of 30 and 31 August and will be restricted to one, stop/go controlled lane during the daytime, from 31 August to 12 August.

Fortunatus Street will be closed to through traffic, from 31 August to 12 August, including nights. Vehicle access to immediately affected properties will be available from the Mana Street end of Fortunatus Street.

Safe pedestrian access to and from Fortunatus Street will be maintained during the work.

Detours will be in place while the road is closed. The extent of the road closure is shown on the following page; the work will be completed in one section to minimise disruption.

Thank you for your patience and working with us, as we renew the wastewater network in Vogeltown.
