Pempsey Street, Silverstream watermain renewal

What's happening?

We are half-way through our work to replace a watermain in Pempsey Street, Silverstream.

We anticipate the project to be completed by 1 September 2021.

Hours of work

Hours of work will generally be 7am-6pm Monday to Saturday.

While work areas will be fenced off, we will make sure that you have access to your property at all times, unless prior arrangement has been made.

There may be occasions when the contractor needs access to your property; if this is the case, we’ll give you at least 24 hours’ notice beforehand. We will strictly abide by the required health and safety protocols directed by government under the relevant Covid-19 Alert Level.

It is expected that our work will generate some construction noise at times, but we will do our best to keep this to a minimum. You can contact our project team anytime if you have any concerns about that.

On-street car parking in the area alongside the worksite will be restricted and we ask you to please not park your vehicle within the coned areas. This will help us get our work done as quickly as possible.

Part of the process in commissioning the new water mains involves planned interruptions to water supply. Affected residents will be notified with further details closer to the time.
