Update 8 September

We are upgrading the stormwater pipeline in Kelso Grove need to temporarily turn the water off to progress construction.  This means that water supply will be interrupted to your home or business for a short time.

The water off is scheduled to take place from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Wednesday 9 September 2020

The water will be back on as soon as possible, but we recommend you fill up some containers with water before the time above and avoid running your dishwasher, washing machine or any appliances that use water. It is best not to use water from your hot water cylinder either as the cylinder may get damaged if the water level gets too low.

When the water supply is turned back on, it’s a good idea to open a cold tap slowly and let it run for a minute or so to clear any air bubbles that may have entered the system. Air can cause the water to turn a milky colour, but this won’t affect the taste and should clear quickly.

Update 18 August

We are moving into the next stage of construction for the stormwater upgrade pipeline in Kelso Grove. This work effects properties from 171 to 183 Major Drive, Kelson.

This means that there will be a time where it will not be possible for you to use your driveway, for potentially up to a week. This is because there will be heavy machinery operating and an open trench on the road in front of your property.

To address this disruption, designated parking will be established for you nearby within a coned off area. This will be parking on the road and as close as possible to your property. A project member will advise where this parking will be; they will also ask for your license plate number(s) and monitor the designated parking area as works progress up along
Major Drive.

If you have any concerns about this plan, please call Paul Davison as soon as possible.
