Martinborough water supply update

Following the fault on Monday with the low manganese bore that is supplying the Martinborough Township, the pump was successfully replaced yesterday. However this morning the pump experienced an electrical fault, which means there is no water pumping from the bore and reservoir levels are going down. We have our team on site working on a replacement as fast as possible.

Last night the bore supplying Martinborough Township with drinking water failed for a brief time due to increased turbidity, or cloudiness, of the aquifer source. Wellington Water believes the turbidity arose due to a sudden spike in demand.
