Public Open Days on wastewater system plans

Published 18/10/2019

The public is invited to attend an Open Day to find out more about plans to improve the wastewater system to benefit the environment and the community.

These two Open Days are your opportunity to find out about:

  • the improvements being planned for the Porirua treatment plant as part of renewing its resource consents in 2020
  • next steps to improving the ageing wastewater network that transports wastewater from homes and businesses to the treatment plant.

There will be presentations, information displays and Wellington Water representatives on hand to answer your questions.

When:

  • Thursday 7 November, 6pm-8.30pm at Te Rauparaha Arena, Meeting Room 1
  • Saturday 9 November, 11am-2pm Titahi Bay Bowling Club

Guided tours of wastewater treatment plant

On Saturday 9 November we will also be offering guided tours of the wastewater treatment plant at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

You will need to register for the tour at the Open Day in Titahi Bay Bowling Club. From there it’s only a five minute drive to the treatment plant. And for safety reasons you must be over 13 years of age and wear covered footwear.

We would love to see you there!
