To provide the best advice on three waters investment options to our councils, Wellington Water developed the Regional Service Plan (RSP). The RSP shows the connection between our highest order customer outcomes, our three waters strategy and implementing the operational and capital investment programmes, as well as outlining our approach to asset management. The RSP was developed in three parts:

* Part 1: The Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) fulfils the core requirements outlined in ISO 55001 Asset Management, which provides guidance on optimising assets and reducing the overall cost of ownership while meeting necessary performance and safety requirements.

* Part 2: Describes the key challenges and risks, assumptions and deficiencies across the three waters network by strategic priority.

* Part 3: Outlines the specific investment plan and options based on the identified strategic priorities and each council’s unique risks.
