Water conservation is usually an action you take to save water. When you turn off the garden hose as soon as you’ve finished washing or watering, this is to conserve water.
You may even think of another way to use less water - could you wash your bike better using a bucket of water? Then tip the dirty water on the garden?
Water is a precious “Natural Resource”
What does that mean? A natural resource is something that is provided by nature. Our world has a limited amount of water. It is precious because we couldn’t survive without it.
Conserving water is important because….
Our drinking water comes from rivers that need their water to keep a healthy environment. It’s about sharing the water we have around more people, schools and workplaces, instead of wanting to use more and more.
Learning about conserving water is fun!
