Residents of Featherston and Greytown requested to conserve water - outdoor water use ban in place until further notice
Wellington Water and South Wairarapa District Council have noted a recent increase in the number of reports of bathroom fixtures in Featherston and Greytown showing signs of blue staining, often around plugholes and where tap fixtures tend to drip.
Due to increasing water demand and falling river levels, a residential sprinkler and irrigation system ban will take effect in Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Porirua and Wellington from midnight tonight, Friday 12 February 2021.
